And Begin

And Begin

I’m four decades old, and over these years, I have experienced many different careers, had children while going to university and been a full-time mum with no employment. Throughout all these experiences in my journey, I have learned so much. However, over the last five years, I’ve learned more about myself than I had for the previous thirty-five years.

This blog isn’t my first attempt at blogging; however, this is the first time I’m approaching blogging from a different angle. In previous blogs I’ve been focused on, well, that’s the point they’ve had no focus and inevitably haven’t given me the satisfaction of writing.

Reason for Blog

The first and most important reason I am blogging is that I enjoy the experience. I love sharing my thoughts and new ideas, and if I can help someone else with my experiences, then all the better. From tips in cleaning, parenting, posting on social media or general lifestyle, I have many hobbies but generally, in my household, being the geeks, we love new gadgets.

What to expect

So, what you can expect to read in these following blog posts like recipes that we’ve tried in our household once we’ve loved and some that are all right. You can’t please everyone, particularly fussy eaters.

Anything that can make your life a little bit easier during hard times become more resilient and strive for that life you dream of, creating the goals and making your reality happen. I know this is what I am aiming for, so this blog will almost be everything I’ve tried, tested and failed at, so you don’t have to.

You Deserve the Win

So, you’re probably thinking oh, this is not another lifestyle blog of a person chatting away with no direction niche. But, as I said before, I’ve learned my mistakes from my other blogs.
This blog focuses on mindset, your mindset. If I can take you on a journey similar to the one I’ve been on, where I am now looking positive but knowing that days can still be wrong, it does not mean that I have a lousy life; positivity does not mean one cup of tea. It means a whole jar of tea bags, one cup at a time. Throughout this journey, I’ve battled and pushed, and the fact that I’m still here and still will keep trying means that I’m winning. I want this for you as well. You deserve the win!

My journey will be different to yours. We have different backgrounds but different people living in various towns. You could be in a city or the middle of nowhere; our experiences are very different, or maybe not; as I said, I’ve come across many other people from all walks of life on the similarities stand out even though we are different.

Celebrate the little wins.

I’m not going to preach, saying, ” Oh, you need to do this. You need to do that; if you do this, you will live your best life and always be happy. But life doesn’t work like that; life can be challenging if you let it. Life is just a series of problems to be solved, and I am the ultimate problem solver. I was born for this role.
Problem-solving took me on my journey to become a graphic designer people came to me with the problem of wanting a logo or branding, and using my creativity, I created it for them. Over the years, friends and family have come to me with their problems. I’ve listened, I’ve counselled, and I’ve known when to keep my mouth shut because sometimes they need me to be a soundboard so they can work out their problems. Yes, they needed a bit of a push in specific directions to see past the grey clouds and see the silver lining. Still, they got there by themselves and felt so much better than following somebody else’s direction in another path of being told what to do by someone, not in their position.

What I’m Hoping

Occasionally there will be the odd recipe or a project, possibly something that I’ve just bought as I said, I love sharing but ultimately, I want you to stand tall and be like a tree, spread your arms into the air and take a deep breath and just let everyone know you’re doing your thing. Did you take a deep breath when you read that?

Alternatively, you could be doing the yoga pose in your mind heck; if you feel like it gets up another go, you won’t see me doing that pose. My balance is terrible. I’ll share a secret with you. Still, even at my age, I cannot ride a bicycle. However, it is on my To Do List as one of the goals that I would like to complete. So, the day you see me doing a blog post of hay, I can ride a bike now; please don’t laugh. OK, you’re probably going to laugh a little, and I don’t mind because I’ll be laughing with you, mine from the happiness that I can finally do it; you may laugh but unlike every other child in the neighbourhood, I didn’t get it done before ten. No, I spent my youth in a plaster cast from one injury after another.

I’m writing for the dreamers, the creatives who want this world that they imagine, but for some reason, they have no idea how to get there.

Get Involved

I’d appreciate it if you left comments on my blog posts. Feedback; also, I love hearing other people’s stories. I find it fascinating that we are so lucky that we can all share our stories. You don’t have to be like Homer and have it published; to be immortal. No, I’m not referring to Homer Simpson!

What I hope to build with my blog is a community of like-minded positive get-goers who know that not every day is going to be fantastic but there is good in every day.
